What We Do
Five Core Objectives
Every program COWAFO runs is anchored to one of these commitments — from child welfare to environmental stewardship.
01
Deliver holistic child welfare services — nutrition, education, psychosocial support, and healthcare for every child we reach.
02
Equip youth with life skills in leadership, entrepreneurship, digital literacy, and financial management.
03
Promote environmental conservation through tree planting, watershed restoration, and community waste management.
04
Establish sustainable livelihoods through green income-generating activities like beekeeping and agroforestry.
05
Integrate environmental education into formal school curricula via Eco-Clubs and structured teacher training programs.
How We Work
Core Activities
On the ground, our work comes down to nine practical, sustained commitments that change children’s lives every day.
Identify & Select
We identify and select the most vulnerable and needy children in our target villages through community assessments and referrals.
Basic Needs Provision
Nutritious food, shelter, clean water, and proper sanitation — ensuring no child goes without the essentials for a healthy life.
Education Access
Supporting children with school uniforms, fees, and materials so that financial hardship is never a barrier to learning.
School Monitoring
Regular follow-up with teachers and parents to track attendance, performance, and wellbeing of every sponsored child
Healthcare Support
Preventive care, medical insurance, and regular check-ups to keep every child healthy and protected from preventable illness.
Psycho-social Support
Counselling and guidance to help children process trauma, build resilience, and develop healthy relationships and self-esteem.
Child Protection
Strengthening community child protection mechanisms to prevent exploitation, abuse, and neglect in all its forms.
Family Reunification
Promoting family-based care through fostering and kinship initiatives — because home is the best environment for every child
Monitoring & Evaluation
Establishing robust M&E systems to assess impact, demonstrate accountability to donors, and continuously improve programs.

Donate
Fund a Child's Future
The organisation relies entirely on individual gifts from inside and outside Tanzania. Every donation — however small — directly supports a child’s meals, school fees, or healthcare.
Support children to access education through uniforms, school fees, and school materials. Volunteers monitor school performance and provide direct mentorship to our children across all villages.
